University of New York - Oswego Contact: Brandie Noyes, (315) 341-5648 Oswego operates under a comprehensive peer education model with many student groups that focus on a variety of health issues to promote positive Lifestyle choices. Their theme of OkSoberfest "Life's Too Short to Be Hung Over". Their focus was to promote responsible drinking and low risk behaviors regarding sexuality, nutrition, alcohol, and other drugs and violence issues. Eighteen student organizations, offices and departments participated in planning events. Other highlights were a costume party, Speakout, social options in Oswego, and a speaker who lost their child to alcohol poisoning. |
