The National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) is a not-for-profit organization with more than 26,000 members nationwide.
The NATA is committed to advancing, encouraging and improving the athletic training profession. More than 92 percent of all NATA members are certified by the NATA Board of Certification and have earned the title, certified athletic trainer (ATC). The NATA sets standards for athletic trainers through its education programs. More than 130 universities and colleges offer NATA-approved curricula. In 1990, the American Medical Association recognized athletic training as an allied health profession. |
