A Higher Education Partnership Promoting Education, Prevention
and Networking Initiatives for the Elimination of Alcohol and Other
Substance Abuse.
Founded in 1983
by BACCHUS of the U.S., Inc., the Inter-Association Task Force on
Alcohol and Other Substance Abuse Issues is an umbrella organization
dedicated to promoting education, prevention, research, networking
and national initiatives to help eliminate substance abuse and the
problems it causes on our college and university campuses.
As the IATF enters its next decade in a new millennium, the organization continues to strive to create safe campuses and healthy students. If new concerns face higher education regarding the safety and health of students, the Task Force will work to address these issues. As demonstrated by its mission statement, one of IATF’s primary goals is “teaching college students life skills that will enable them to be successful in college and afterwards.
